I have a great Computer factory in the northern forest area that is now scrapped because of these changes :( I spent WEEKS calculating, designing, and building that factory, and it'll all go straight down the toilet when the 1.0 update is forced on us.

So I have the game along with the past 2 DLC. Do I need to pay for the 3rd update?

Oh my god I can’t believe I’ve been playing so long and I didn’t know floor holes extended the elevators height, I’ve been measuring fully extended elevators and placing floor for that height over and over 😭

I love The Riftbreaker, but definitely bounced off the survival mode the last time I played it (before the first expansion). I really love building huge bases and that's something you can definitely do in the campaign mode, even on the highest difficulty and minor mistakes don't end your run which it always felt like survival does. Replayed the entire campaign after the last expansion and look forward to hitting this one as well as these new enemies seem insane. They're still working on coop multiplayer which seems like it would be a ton of fun (and will be a free addition to the game).

5:15 Alongside color theory, a good concept that makes colors “look good” (often subliminally) is the 60-30-10 rule. Worth researching as well, you will never un-see it. Thanks for this vid!!

Additional points, in no particular order: * Games like this also tend to be real good at being a very effective form of "Rags to Riches" style fun. * Some of these kinds of games can be fun to play when one is in the mood for this kinda game and action &/or Combat. (Factorio easy example.) * Games like this can be fun and relaxing to play while one might be the kinda Player that enjoys carnage and destruction, including but not limited to "Diggy Diggy Hole" kinds. (I myself totally fit this bill!) * Creative Building opportunities kinda fun works for Legos, and it works for games like this. :) * Some of these kinds of games can be fun to play when one is in the mood to just chill and relax and one is in no mood to worry about being serious about anything, especially things like 'time tables' and 'timers' and such, and one just wants to mosey at a relaxed pace and maybe even take a break from the main game loop and just do something for just fun, like an aesthetic 'just for fun' build, or just casually experiment around with stuff, or such. 'Lizard Doggo Petting Zoo', for example. :)

How does PURE = 4 IMPURE? 780 != 4 * 300. It doesn't matter that PURE could product 1200 if it can't be output. In late game PURE is almost the same as NORMAL.

I'm fine with the changes, and do not mind having to fix my factory (around 350 hours in, completed phase 4). What's a bit more frustrating to me is that you apparently can't play through the story in an existing save (certain triggers won't activate). I am not sure if I'm patient enough to play through the whole thing again just for the story 😅 Maybe with advanced game settings (all alts unlocked) and speeding up process with a save editor. Haven't decided yet. My "main" save, that I'm probably gonna fix, was a legit playthrough, so I don't feel bad to cheat a little to just play through the story ^^

Can they get 1.0 going asap? I want to start again but doing so before 1.0 release would be dumb. I NEED MY FIX

Make a tier list of every factory game you ever played... Pointers = easy to learn hard to master level, interface smoothness, user friendly QoL, graphics requirement/performance, unique traits, etc...

Anyone who likes factory based game are green flag in my book... Unfortunately its has no player base in south east asia... 😞😞 ... Thats tell much about the IQ around here...

The first thing that comes to mind is a greater need for power. More nodes = more extractors = more nuclear. The alternate fuel rod recipe may actually be necessary going forward depending on the scope of one's factories.

So my massive screw factory that I just built to service my computer industry ... will not work anyway since the resource nodes if feeds from is going away ... I think a 1.0 will be a wipe.

This is gonna cause massive damage to my 500 hour world

I think they must have changed the rotation keys because the R key no longer rotates an item. I was trying to place the fireplace in a corner so it was facing directly away from the corner but it will only allow me to place it using 90 degree angles.

i think the node thing is to solve 2 problems or at least mask 1 : 1. by reducing the number of pure you increasing the value available by unlocking what is available. Meaning part of Pure nodes isnt locked behind tier 3 miner limit. So im betting no real change on them. or if they did makes them more valuable and this was to reduce total from pure. 2. Possibly also Forcing people to use areas that weren't really used before and spreading out their factories.

Well if they are moving all the nodes around anyway, can they at least line them up with the world grid?

Do you think there is a benefit to the changes in the uranium nodes? I feel like the swamp and water off that coast is a prime spot for a nuclear facility and it feels like getting uranium is just more inconvenient now. What am I missing?

i was looking at the maps in the wiki and it seems to be three bauxite nodes added in the north and one in the south
